AbstractThis dataset provides the comprehensive measurement results of radiocarbon (C-14) activities in tree rings compiled in the associated published paper (Matsunaka et al., 2019, DOI: 10.1016/j.nimb.2018.12.009). The dataset consists of Fraction modern, C-14 activities, and estimated annual effective doses via the food ingestion pathway. The C-14 data tracks the temporal variations from 1959 to 2013 in pine tree (Pinus thunbergii) at site TK-1, located 1.8km southwest of the Tokai Nuclear Power Plants (Tokai NPP and Tokai-2 NPP) and 1.4km north northwest of the Tokai Reprocessing Plant (Tokai RP), Japan. The purified samples were graphitized using an automated pretreatment system, and measurements of C-14/C-12 and C-13/C-12 ratios were subsequently determined by accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS).
