AbstractSurface soil samples were collected from 86 locations ranging from 13.8 to 123.5 km from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant and analyzed after the accident. Measurements of 129I, 131I, and 129mTe concentrations and depositions were conducted and decay-corrected to the time of the accident. This dataset consists of two tables compiled from the associated published paper (DOI: 10.1016/j.nimb.2026.166033). The isotope ratios of 129I to 131I ranged from 6.4 to 105, with an overall average of 22.5 ± 8.4, consistent with the ORIGEN2 code results. The contribution of 129mTe to 129I was 0.4–8% at the time of the accident, and its release pattern in the southern region differed from that in other areas.
